System Composition & Core Processes

The Brake Pads Automatic Pressing System integrates a precision weighting system, 1 to 6 hot pressers, automatic manipulators on a travelling rack, and other supporting accessories. Developed by FU CHUN JIANG Intelligent Brake Pads Machines, this system streamlines the core production procedures as follows:
  • Weighing of single-layer or double-layer friction mixtures with high accuracy
  • Flattening of mixtures, with pre-pressing process included if under-layer is required
  • Automatic transportation of material trays between stations
  • Precise feeding of friction mixtures into the pressing molds
  • Grabbing and handling of finished brake pads after pressing
  • In-situ cleaning of molds to ensure subsequent production quality

Modular Design Architecture

The system adopts a modular design for easy maintenance, expansion and flexible configuration, divided into four functional blocks with coordinated operation.

Weighting System Module

This module consists of a top-layer mixture weighting machine and an under-layer mixture weighting machine. Weighed materials are temporarily stored in the feeder for subsequent processes.
  • For brake pad formulas requiring only single-layer mixture, the system can be customized with one weighting machine to reduce costs.
  • The weighting precision is calibrated to meet industry standards, ensuring consistent product performance.

Feeder Trolley Module

As a key connecting unit, the feeder trolley undertakes multiple integrated tasks to enhance production continuity:
  • Transportation of friction material trays to designated stations for material retrieval
  • Flattening treatment of friction mixtures to ensure uniform distribution
  • Pre-pressing operation for under-layer mixtures, laying a solid foundation for subsequent hot pressing

Travelling Rack Automatic Manipulator

Serving as the core executive component, the manipulator on travelling rack realizes full-process automation without manual intervention, a signature design of FU CHUN JIANG Intelligent Brake Pads Machines.
  • Grabbing and transferring of material trays between trolley and pressers
  • Controlled discharging of friction mixtures into molds with position accuracy
  • Grabbing finished brake pads and moving them to the next station
  • Efficient mold cleaning after pressing and returning empty trays to the initial position

Hot Presser Module

The number of hot pressers is flexibly configured based on the hot pressing process requirements of different formulas:
  • Fewer pressers are equipped for formulas with short pressing time to avoid equipment idling.
  • More pressers (up to 6 units) are configured for formulas requiring long pressing time, maximizing production efficiency.
  • Presser tonnage and mold cavities are customized according to the specific brake pad model and formula pressure requirements.
